Team Meeting Notes - Original Date - April 5, 2011

So I didn't really take minutes at the team meeting, but I thought it was funny to have that as the email title.

I've included Tim on our distribution list as he is one of the best kickball players in the greater Rochester area and has agreed to play for us as often as he can.

For those of you who sucked last night, here is what we talked about.

(Okay, now that I prepare to write stuff I realize that these really are the same thing as minutes... wow).

- Lots of nickname talk. As the season and hanging out happens everyone will get a nickname before you know it. 

- Drinks. No glass bottles at all. No kegs either. Jury is still out on mini-kegs. Heidi, who asks great questions by the way, asked about bringing beer. I don't want to force anyone to buy a ton of beer so plan on bringing your own beer. I'm sure we'll always have too much as people will bring 12 or 18 packs to share... it just happens.

- We are excited about the possibility of winning and want to reach for that, but not at the cost of our ... none of us has had dignity for a long time... so I guess at the cost of our teamly fortitude. Basically we'll only be douches to douches, but we'll try not to be douches. 

- We are all here to have fun and spend time with friends. Some people are nervous, but don't need to be. Kick James is all about positive support, degrading nicknames, and team bondage... I mean bonding.

- We need to find a boombox so we can have warm up music and so we can each have a theme song. We also need to pick theme songs. Who wants to take this on? 

- We'll do team stretches and take a team lap before each game.

- If you're late and you don't tell me beforehand you have to do extra laps.

- We're going to do a team shotgun at the first game to see who is going to take shotgun challenges for us.

- Carpool as much as you can. There really isn't a ton of parking.

- Full swings of the leg... it's kickball not bunt or tap ball.

- Knee over the ball, inside or outside off the top of your foot if you can (kicking with your toe makes the ball go straight up in the air).
