Sad Days

Waiting for Tonight (as sung by J-Lo)

Here we are again ladies and gentlemen.

6:15 at GVP Field 6, right next to the last one we played on. It is a dirt field and it might be a little rainy, so screw in your long cleats.

As always, get there as soon as you can so we can throw and kick the ball around, stretch out the glut's, do the mandatory captain back massage.

Bring your own beverages, but I will (actually) get a few extra this time.

If anyone is unable to attend the demolition of Too Legit to Kick (Our opponent with a great name), you should still come out to Marshall Street afterwards.

Good times will be had by all... except Too Legit to Kick who will be embarrassed and feel great shame.

See you out there.

A cold day...

...in Rochester.

We have once again been postponed folks.

Don't worry, it's not the end of the world... or is it? DUN DUN DUN

So I'm going to encourage everyone to meet up at Marshall Street anyways. The best part of not playing at 6:15 is that it allows anyone interested to take advantage of Marshall's 2.50 drafts until 7pm.

Cheap and effective.

The other serendipitous aspect of this cancellation is the fact that we will have yet another double header. What's the benefit of a doubleheader you may ask? Good question, I would respond.

1 - Two games of kickball in one night are obviously better than one because two is more than one.
2 - The second game of a doubleheader starts at 7:15 which may allow some of our part timers to make it. Namely, Dr. Donald Longpark and to a much lesser extent. Dave (he's not a doctor).
3 - An extra hour of drinking outside is fun.
4 - Exercise.
5 - Hugging
6 - Thomas
7 - Hugging Thomas

Hi friends-

It turns out someone who controls the weather is really pissed Brian is back int he country because not only have our kickball games been cancelled, but rain also punched the Lilac Festival in the face.

Timmy had the great idea of getting together to see the MJ Tribute band and then grabbing a drink at Marshall Street, but that's out the window.

Rock Kickball says they will have info about playoffs coming out soon. Who knows if we're in the playoffs, but either way we should plan our end of the year bash. It will feature quite a bit of cash given back to us by the league and someone's bound to take his shirt off (it'll probably be me).

I know weekends are filling up and everyone is getting super duper busy, but I see a Saturday as our best option. Maybe Saturday the 4th, or the 11th before the Vassar show. Or should we try Memorial Day weekend. Please reply with your suggestions and availability. Or if you would like me to do this through facebook, I will also comply.

Either way, I encourage everyone to get together at Marshall Street around 6:30. Have a few drinks, hug strangers... the usual.
